El Earl Grey, la mezcla de té más popular del mundo, requiere solo dos ingredientes: té negro y bergamota. Este cítrico mediterráneo prospera solo en unas pocas regiones del mundo, pero desde que se asoció con el Earl Grey, ha llegado a tazas de té en todos los rincones del planeta.

Lleva el nombre de Charles Grey, un primer ministro británico de la década de 1830. Según la leyenda, el té aromatizado fue un regalo.
