Chunmee Green makes a reliable everyday cup of tea. The flavor hunkers down on a solid note, sweeter and heftier than most greens. If you avoid greens because they taste "grassy" or "weak", Chunmee may change your mind with its earthy, uncomplicated, umami goodness. The first steep offers a lightly astringent aftertaste, which then fades with subsequent steeps—so the second cup tastes smoother than the first. Roasted overtones hang subtly around the edges, adding aromatic interest that lingers after each sip.

Most green teas prefer steeping at 170°F to minimize bitterness. However, Chunmee is more versatile, and still tastes delicious at a hotter temperature. We recommend 185°F to bring out the hearty and sweet notes that we enjoy.

Chunmee Green makes friends quietly, steadily, without a lot of fuss and feathers. When you need a good, no-nonsense, reliable green tea, it's here for you.

Michael U. ★★★★★

The sweetness caught me off guard for a green tea—much fuller and less delicate than I expected. Brews up a nice dark liquor without any bitterness. Perfect for a no-fuss morning cup.

Joshua ★★★★★

I've been drinking this every morning for a couple weeks now and it's become my default cup. It's noticeably sweeter and heftier than the grassy greens I used to force down, and I don't need to add anything to it.

Joshua ★★★★★

I usually avoid green tea because it tastes thin and grassy, but this one is sweeter and has real body to it. It's become my default morning cup, and the leaves hold up well for a second steep.
