Category: Single-Origin

Panda White comes from one of the highest elevation tea farms in the world. Teas this rich and complex are few and far between, so prepare yourself. The liquor steeps up light with an orange tinge. A strong citrus aroma leads to a raisin-sweet first impression. Then the flavor evolves on your palate, settling into a creamy, custardy fullness. Notice the vanilla accents and high muscatel notes, adding depth and range to the profile. Panda White makes an ideal gong fu tea; the large leaves continue to deliver flavor after multiple steeps. We fell in love with this tea when we visited Nepal—and the love affair continues!

We directly source Panda White through the Red Panda Network. Red pandas, like many endangered animals, have been driven near to extinction due to poaching and deforestation. We’re proud to carry this tea, and to support the Network’s important mission of restoring red panda habitat, while also building a sustainable economy on the ground.

Purchase of this single origin tea directly supports the Red Panda Network in Nepal. Think of these contributions as you get to know this exemplary tea.

Harper X. ★★★★★

The liquor's faint orange tinge is such a pretty surprise, and the flavor is incredibly smooth with none of the bitterness you sometimes get from high-grown teas.

Robert E. ★★★★★

I've had a lot of single-origin teas and this one steeps noticeably lighter than the darker oolongs I'm used to, just a pale cup with that warm orange edge. It's rich and complex without being heavy, which surprised me for something grown that high up.

Edward ★★★★★

The orange tinge in the cup caught me off guard, but that high-elevation growing really shows in how layered the flavor is. I've been steeping it light like the description suggests and it stays smooth without getting bitter.
