Levámos meses de I&D para encontrar o equilíbrio certo—o caráter rico e distinto do sésamo preto significa que precisas da base de chá perfeita, caso contrário, ou domina a chávena ou desaparece por completo.

O nosso avanço veio quando deixámos de procurar uma única base de chá exata e começámos a testar combinações. A resposta: um chá do Nepal e um chá preto chinês levemente fumado a trabalhar em conjunto.

That soft smoky whisper underneath the sweetness is exactly what I want from a cup at night. The two teas play off each other nicely — Nepalese for the smooth base, Chinese for that lingering finish. Steeped it a touch long by accident and it still didn't turn bitter.
