Finally tried these for my morning chai — no more straining bits of tea leaves. The unbleached hemp feels sturdy and doesn't tear, and cleanup is just tossing it in the compost.
I've been using these to brew loose leaf at my desk and the no-cleanup part is what sold me, just toss the whole thing when I'm done. The Manila hemp is sturdy enough that it doesn't tear when the water hits it.
The unbleached hemp paper doesn't leave any papery taste in my oolong, which was my worry with cheaper bags. I just drop a scoop in, fold the top, and toss it after — no strainer to rinse out. Honestly the easiest way I've found to drink loose leaf at work.
