The liquor's faint orange tinge is such a pretty surprise, and the flavor is incredibly smooth with none of the bitterness you sometimes get from high-grown teas.
I've had a lot of single-origin teas and this one steeps noticeably lighter than the darker oolongs I'm used to, just a pale cup with that warm orange edge. It's rich and complex without being heavy, which surprised me for something grown that high up.
The orange tinge in the cup caught me off guard, but that high-elevation growing really shows in how layered the flavor is. I've been steeping it light like the description suggests and it stays smooth without getting bitter.
