I expected something too subtle to bother with, but this white peony has real body to it. Steeping it around 185 degrees for two minutes brings out a soft honeyed sweetness without any bitterness. It's become my quiet morning cup before anyone else is up.
The leaves are gorgeous whole buds with silver tips, and steeping them at 175°F brought out this creamy, almost honeyed sweetness I wasn't expecting from a white tea. It's noticeably more full-bodied than other whites I've tried, so it holds up well through a third steep instead of turning to water.
I expected "delicate" to mean bland, but this White Peony has real body behind it — the second steep came out sweeter and almost honeyed. Nice change from the green teas I usually drink.
