O nome Dragonwell vem de uma lenda sobre um poço com água densa. Depois da chuva, a água da chuva mais leve flutua na superfície. A água da chuva exibe um movimento de torção com a água do poço. A interação entre as duas águas assemelha-se ao movimento de um dragão chinês.
