Didn't expect an oolong this dark to taste so bright—the melon note hits first, then it settles into something almost buttery. Steeped it three times and the leaves kept giving. Genuinely one of the smoothest teas I've had.
The wet leaves smell like fresh honeydew, which I did not expect from such dark, heavily oxidized leaves. Steeps smooth with zero astringency, and I got a solid four rounds out of one spoon before it faded.
I usually avoid darker oolongs, but the leaves here brew up velvety instead of bitter, and that melon sweetness sneaks in on the finish. Second steep was even better than the first.
