I was expecting a generic berry tea but this actually tastes like real huckleberries, wild and a little tart rather than just sweet. The fruitiness stays front and center without burying the black tea base, which I appreciate. Already on my second tin.
The tart berry flavor really comes through without being overpowering, and it steeps into a deep, rich red that smells like a mountain hike. I've been drinking it every afternoon since it arrived, and it's the fruitiest black tea I've found in a long while.
I keep going back for another cup because that berry note is so bright and wild, almost like a fresh handful of huckleberries rather than a dried tea. It brews up smooth with no bitterness, even when I get distracted and let it steep a few extra minutes.
