I was worried a Scottish breakfast would be too harsh, but this one stops just short of bitter. That dried fruit and leather thing really comes through, and it takes milk without going flat.

This is my third tin in a row — I keep coming back because it’s the only breakfast tea that stays rich and malty even after three minutes of steeping. The dried fruit sweetness balances the edge so I don’t need milk, which is rare for a blend this bold.

The leather note is surprisingly smooth and adds a nice depth—it's bold but never harsh, even without milk. I’ve been drinking it black every morning for a week and it holds up perfectly over the three-minute steep.
