The deep steamed leaves give this such a rich, almost creamy body compared to regular sencha, and the aroma fills the kitchen the second the water hits. I've been drinking it every morning for two weeks and I'm still not tired of it.
I've been drinking standard sencha for years and this fukamushi is a whole different experience — the longer steaming really comes through in that thick, almost brothy first sip. A bit of astringency lingers at the end, but in a good way that makes me want another cup.
